While travelling in Italy, I had the honor of meeting one of the best truffle collectors, Franco Billi, who entrusted me with his personal dog, Brio, son of the well-known York.

Brio has inherited the natural talent of his father in truffle and works with passion and effectiveness in all truffle species. The characteristic that makes this dog "phenomenal" as Franco Billi describes him, is the ease of sniffing the air, which allows him to detect truffles in a very long range.

Brio has participated in white truffle working competitions at Bagnara di Romagna in Italy, winning the 1st prize and the 3rd prize twice. Following his father's footsteps he also claimed the 1st prize in a black truffle working competition at Miliotades of Zagori, in Greece.
